§ Captain McEwenI have been asked to reply. Buses and coaches are already subject to a general maximum speed of 30 miles an hour, or 20 miles an hour in built-up areas during black-out hours. The time schedules of bus and coach services are carefully regulated by the Regional Transport Commissioners from the point of view of speed in relation to conditions on the route. For these reasons it is not considered that a general review as suggested by my hon. Friend is necessary.
