HC Deb 01 July 1942 vol 381 cc186-7
10. Mr. Messer

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether A/C Bernard Wellsbury, who has been sent to India, is still refusing to obey military orders; if he is under detention: and whether, in view of the fact that he took up the position of a conscientious objector whilst in England, he will be allowed to return to this country so as to be able to exercise his right to appeal to the Appellate Tribunal?

Captain Balfour

A report from India is awaited. I will communicate with the hon. Member as soon as possible.
