MorrisonThe Central Committee of the Civil Defence Comforts Fund, which is responsible for the promotion of activities such as those dealt with in this pamphlet, and for that purpose administers funds placed at its disposal by private benefaction, arranged for the preparation of the pamphlet, at no cost to public funds. 50,000 copies have been printed for distribution to the Civil Defence Services, including the National Fire Service, and the Police.

§ Mr. MorrisonI am not competent to express an opinion on that point, but we did take the advice of very expert people, and I think the House will agree that it is desirable for us to consider the welfare of the Civil Defence personnel and to do all we can to secure their physical efficiency for their work when they are called into action.
