HC Deb 28 January 1942 vol 377 cc692-3
7. Mr. Kirby

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works and Buildings whether he will recommend local authorities such as London. Liverpool, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, Hull, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and others, to include in their post-war reconstruction plans the desirability and/or need of providing elevated rotary airports in their respective cities?

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works and Buildings (Mr. Hicks)

While I am grateful to my hon. Friend for his suggestion, I am advised that airports of the kind referred to are not at present considered to be practicable.
