HC Deb 27 January 1942 vol 377 c558
50. Mr. Colegate

asked the Minister without Portfolio whether he is aware that many of the Reports published by the Ministry of Reconstruction in the years 1916 to 1919 are out of print; and whether, in view of the fact that many of these Reports cover similar problems to those that may be expected to arise as the present war draws to an end, he will arrange for reprints to be made available?

The Minister without Portfolio (Mr. Arthur Greenwood)

While I am aware that the Reports referred to by my hon. Friend contain material some of which is still of interest and value, I do not think I should be justified, in present circumstances, in ordering the reprints which he suggests. I may say that in the reconstruction studies and inquiries under my direction the national experience of economic and other problems which arose after the last war is being kept fully in mind.
