asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether steps have been taken to terminate the Press consorship in Seychelles, of which the hon. Member for Consett sent his predecessor examples?

I have been in communication with the hon. Member in regard to this matter. As I informed him on 12th February, it is being taken up with the Seychelles Government, but I am afraid that some time must necessarily elapse before a report can be received.
