§ Mr. Harold MacmillanEfforts were made to obtain information about casualties to European civilians in Malaya, but 192 as the situation developed and communications were interrupted this became increasingly difficult. A list of civilian and local Forces casualties compiled from information received from the Governor has been prepared with a view to publication and will be issued shortly. Further lists will be published as and when information is received.
