HC Deb 25 February 1942 vol 378 cc208-9
69. Squadron-Leader Donner

asked the Minister of Information whether he will arrange for a representative selection of the American Press to be available for Members in the Library?

Mr. Bracken

Yes, Sir, I will arrange for copies of the American Press summaries, which are prepared by my representatives in the United States and cabled daily to London, to be available in the Library. I will also arrange for copies of representative American newspapers and periodicals to be supplied to the Library, although, owing to war conditions, these will be several weeks old before they are available to Members.

Squadron-Leader Donner

While I thank my right hon. Friend, will he make sure that it is representative?

Mr. Bracken

I will make sure.
