§ Mr. EdeI assume that my hon. Friend is referring to youth service organisers employed by local education authorities. So far 81 authorities have notified the Board of appointments covering the employment of 99 organisers, but there are no doubt a number of such appointments of which my Department have not yet been notified. The approved expenditure of authorities on the employment of these officers is recognised for 50 per cent. grant under the Higher Education Grant Regulations.
