§ Mr. AttleeThe number of children evacuated under the Government Scheme was as follows:
The total number of staff now employed for the London, Edinburgh and four Dominion offices is 33, inclusive of messengers, typists, etc. This staff is also reponsible for the administration of the 3 Parcels, Coupons, and Remittance Schemes for all children evacuated outside the sterling area. The administrative costs of the scheme up to 31St December, 1941, after deducting the contributions from the parents, were £33,107.
