asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many are now employed in forced labour in West Africa and the wages they are paid?

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to the hon. Member for the Combined English Universities (Mr. Edmund Harvey) on 10th November.

Could the right hon. and gallant Gentleman say what that was?

It was a long reply, giving a good deal of detail. If the hon. Member will look at it and then wants any further information, I shall be only too glad to give it to him.
