HC Deb 02 December 1942 vol 385 c1162
68. Mr. William Brown

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Economic Warfare whether the United Kingdom Commercial Corporation is engaged in trade in Ethiopia and in other areas in the Middle East; and what advice was given to the Ethiopian Government by His Majesty's Government with regard to engaging in trade or to purchasing Ethiopian-produced commodities on its own account?

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Economic Warfare (Mr. Dingle Foot)

As regards the second part of the Question, no advice has been given by His Majesty's Government to the Ethiopian Government on the two points mentioned.
