§ 45. Mr. Gallacherasked the Prime Minister whether he has considered the resolution passed by the Cowdenbeath Co-operative Society and sent to him by the Member for West Fife; and what answer he has made to the society?
§ The Lord President of the Council-(Sir John Anderson)My right hon. Friend has received a copy of the resolution to which the hon. Member refers, and in this connection I would refer him to the public statements which have been made in this, House by my right hon. Friend and particularly that of 30th September last.
§ Mr. GallacherIs the Minister aware that the resolution deals with two questions, the one with the opening of a second front, and the other with lifting the ban on the "Daily Worker"; and, in view of the interest with which the right hon. Gentleman himself read the "Daily Worker" when it was in existence, will he persuade the Prime Minister to withdraw the ban?
