HC Deb 08 October 1941 vol 374 cc957-8
2. Sir Waldron Smithers

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what action His Majesty's Government are taking to inform the German Government of the steps that will be taken to avenge the brutal treatment now being meted out to the inhabitants of occupied Europe?

Mr. Eden

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given yesterday on this subject by my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary.

Sir W. Smithers

May we take it that note is being taken of these terrible things and that they will not be forgotten?

Mr. Eden

I think my hon. Friend can certainly be assured of that.
