HC Deb 25 November 1941 vol 376 c593
35. Captain Crawford Browne

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that there is a severe shortage of supply of the materials necessary for the carrying on of the hairdressing business in Northern Ireland, thus increasing the number of unemployed; and will he take the necessary steps to remedy this state of things at the earliest moment?

The President of the Board of Trade (Sir Andrew Duncan)

My attention has been drawn to a suggested shortage such as my hon. and gallant Friend describes and the position is being investigated.
