§ Mr ButlerThe answer to the first part of the Question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part of the Question, I would draw the hon. Member's attention to the fact that in the preamble to the agreement it is stated that the agreement is without prejudice to the two countries' contractual engagements with other parties. The hon. Member will also 493 no doubt have seen the clear statement on this subject which the Turkish Minister for Foreign Affairs has since made to the Press.
