§ 31. Major Sir Jocelyn Lucasasked the Secretary of State for War whether, in future, he will publish in this country the names of Dominion and Empire casualties in the same way as British troops, since the lack of information is felt by the Dominion troops in this country and by their friends?
§ Captain MargessonThe War Office do not record the names of casualties among Dominion and Colonial Forces. I understand that there are differences of practice in the matter of publishing such casualties and the question whether lists published in the Dominion or Colony concerned should be offered to the Press in this country is a matter for the appropriate Dominion or Colonial authorities.
§ Sir J. LucasWould they be able to go to Canada House and find out the names?
§ Captain MargessonThe names, as I understand it, go direct from the Middle East to the Colony or Dominion concerned.
