§ Mr. AttleeThe Prime Minister has asked me to make a statement upon the war situation at the beginning of that Debate. The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs will take part in the Debate at a later stage, if that should be convenient.
§ Mr. ShinwellAre we to understand from that reply that the Prime Minister will not be present?
§ Mr. AttleeThe Prime Minister will not be present at the Debate. My hon. Friend will remember that the right hon. Gentleman made a statement in the Debate last week on the course of the war. He will not make a statement in the forthcoming Debate.
