HC Deb 16 October 1940 vol 365 cc680-1
9. Mr. Wedgwood

asked The Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of the German domination of Rumania, His Majesty's Government will now break off relations with that Government with a view to including it in the blockade?

Mr. Butler

For the past few months, and since it became apparent that Rumania was coming increasingly under German domination, His Majesty's Government have ceased to maintain normal relations of trade with Rumania.

Mr. Wedgwood

Can the right hon. Gentleman tell me how much we have been let in for in Rumania in terms of hard cash?

Mr. Butler

I should require notice of that Question.
