asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will give an assurance that when any units are de-mechanised and re-horsed, priority is being given to the purchase of horses in this country rather than import- ing horses from the United States of America or elsewhere?

Mr. Eden

There is no intention at present of re-horsing any units.
