HC Deb 08 October 1940 vol 365 cc250-1

The following Question stood upon the Order Paper:

49. Mr. Tinker

—To ask the Prime Minister whether he has considered the resolution sent to him from Leigh Divisional Labour Party asking that the means test applied to the supplementary old age pension be withdrawn as it is degrading to the aged, costly in its administration, and unworthy of the country who desire the old age pensioners to be fairly treated; and what he will do in regard to it?

The Prime Minister

I am much obliged to the hon. Member for Leigh (Mr. Tinker) for not asking Question 49. I intend to refer to it later.
