HC Deb 08 October 1940 vol 365 c241
32. Captain Sir William Brass

asked the Home Secretary the number of bombs dropped on non-military targets in the London area from 10th September to a convenient date?

Mr. H. Morrison

Precise information is not available in the form desired by my hon. and gallant Friend, but it is patent that much of the German bombing in the London area during the past weeks has been indiscriminate. Many of these attacks have indeed been made from above unbroken cloud layers.

Sir W. Brass

Would it not he possible for my right hon. Friend to find out where these bombs fell, and to publish the facts to the world, in order that the world may know how our enemy is carrying on the war?

Mr. Morrison

I think we are telling the enemy quite enough.

Mr. Thorne

Come down our way, and you will see where they fell.
