§ 13. Dr. Littleasked the Secretary of State for Air what progress has been made towards establishing another aerodrome in, and whether any additional work for the Air Ministry has been allocated to, Northern Ireland?
Captain BalfourClose co-operation is being maintained between the Government of Northern Ireland and my Department in regard to examination of all possible aerodrome sites. One further site has been provisionally selected. Additional firms are being employed on 1203 sub-contract work in connection with air-frame construction and are, where necessary, being assisted financially in the provision of essential plant. The possibility of utilising the capacity of other suitable firms is kept under constant review.
§ Dr. LittleShall I get an assurance to-day for Ulster from my hon. and gallant Friend that that aerodrome will be put into shape at the earliest possible moment, as it is very pressing?
