HC Deb 13 March 1940 vol 358 c1171
16. Mr. Leonard

asked the Secretary of State for Air why the appropriate Department under his control has not yet compiled a list of packing-case manufacturers in Scotland and details of their capacity and output; and, if this is now being done, who is responsible for the collection of these details, and where is the office located?

Sir K. Wood

The Air Ministry already has full particulars of packing-case manufacturers in Scotland and elsewhere. I regret that a contrary impression may have been created as a result of a misunderstanding.

Mr. Leonard

Is the Minister aware that appeals have been made to the Lord Provost of Glasgow on this matter?

Sir K. Wood

I am aware of that, but there is some misunderstanding.
