HC Deb 12 March 1940 vol 358 cc976-7
9. Mr. Thurtle

asked the Secretary of State for War whether it is the practice of his Department, when such cases are brought to his notice, to prosecute per sons who, without authority, wear military uniform and insignia of rank?

Mr. Stanley

The practice of the War Office is to refer such cases to the Director of Public Prosecutions for such action as he thinks necessary.
