HC Deb 20 June 1940 vol 362 c254
Captain Vyvyan Adams

May I ask your guidance, Mr. Speaker, upon a certain matter? From the place where I am stationed at present I sent three Questions the other day, two of which were accepted by you, and the third was rejected. I should like to be informed, if you will, on what grounds the third was rejected?

Mr. Speaker

The hon. and gallant Member will readily understand that I could not enter into discussion of the grounds of rejecting a Question of an hon. Member.

Captain Adams

May I make a point of personal explanation? I was very surprised to have your objection to this Question, which I thought was fully in order, and it was only on this ground that I asked your guidance.
