HC Deb 20 August 1940 vol 364 c1101
11. Mr. Butcher

asked the Secretary of State for War what arrangements have been made for the welfare of British and Allied troops in Iceland?

Mr. Eden

I can assure my hon. Friend that I am fully alive to the importance of this question. The troops in Iceland have been sent a good supply of games equipment, radio sets, books and magazines. A mobile cinema has been sent, and others will follow. It is hoped to send a concert party when the necessary arrangements can be made.
