§ 1. Mr. Robert Gibsonasked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has any information as to with what other countries Germany has treaties allowing her nationals entry into such countries, similar to that in force between Germany and Holland when Germany invaded Holland?
§ The Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Mr. Butler)I assume that the hon. Member is referring to the treaty of 17th November, 1904, between Germany and the Netherlands. Treaties generally similar in character have been concluded by Germany with other Governments, including those of Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Iran, Rumania, Soviet Union, Switzerland, Turkey, Yugoslavia, Eire, Hayti, Hejaz, Iraq, Japan, Panama, Thailand and the Union of South Africa. The entry of German nationals into a number of other States is also facilitated under agreements dealing with "petty-frontier" and tourist traffic.
