HC Deb 30 April 1940 vol 360 c512
1. Mr. Kennedy

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether any action is to be taken by the Government on the lines of the statement and claim by the National Farmers Union and Chamber of Agriculture for Scotland, made to him in support of their case for increased basic prices for cattle and sheep?

The Secretary of State for Scotland (Mr. Colville)

The statement referred to raises important questions affecting several Departments, and I am considering it carefully and shall consult with the other Ministers concerned.
