HC Deb 26 October 1939 vol 352 c1540
19. Mr. Ede

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education how many men and women, respectively, are being admitted to training colleges this year; and how many were admitted last year?

Mr. Lindsay

Owing to the temporary dislocation of some of the training colleges due to evacuation and other causes, the Board are not yet in a position to say how many students are being admitted this year. I will furnish the hon. Member with the figures as soon as they are available, together with the figures for last year.

Mr. Ede

Will the hon. Gentleman get the figures soon?

Mr. Lindsay

There has been dislocation of some of the colleges, but I will try to get them as soon as possible, probably next week.
