§ 85. Mr. Anstruther-Grayasked the Home Secretary what steps it is proposed to take to evacuate to their country of ultimate settlement the thousands of Jewish children recently admitted to temporary refuge in this country?
§ Mr. PeakeThese children were admitted with a view to their being maintained and educated here and being emigrated at a later date when they are old enough, if conditions in Germany were still such that they could not return to their parents. In present circumstances it would be premature to attempt to formulate general plans as to their ultimate destinations.
