HC Deb 30 November 1939 vol 355 c232
14. Mr. Parker

asked the Minister of Health why the local government authorities have been instructed not to take men and boys between the ages of 18 and 22 years into employment, as this will produce an undesirable age-gap in their personnel in future years?

Mr. Elliot

I am not aware of any such instructions. Perhaps the hon. Member will let me have particulars of any instance within his knowledge.
