§ Sir J. AndersonYes, Sir. I have seen statements in the Press recently and have made certain inquiries. As my hon. and learned Friend is no doubt aware, there are so-called night clubs which are held on private premises and to which only members and their friends have access. To obtain accurate information as to what goes on in these places is not always easy. If my hon. Friend will send me the information in his possession I will consider what further action, if any, I might usefully take.
§ Mr. FlemingIf I send the information to my right hon. Friend will he ask this House to give him the necessary power to control these unsatisfactory clubs in view of the fact that those attracted to them are young officers who ought to be fit, and not unfit?
