HC Deb 25 May 1939 vol 347 c2474
4. Mr. Higgs

asked the Minister of Labour whether he will make arrangements to prevent men being called up for military training when they have arranged to travel overseas for commercial purposes prior to the passing of the Act until their return to this country?

Mr. E. Brown

If cases of this kind involve hardship there is provision under the Military Training Bill for application to be made to a hardship committee for postponement of the liability to be called up for military training.
