§
Lords Amendment: In page 9, line 44, at the end, insert:
or by any person who satisfies such a tribunal that he is a relative or personal friend of the party he proposes to represent.
§ The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (Mr. W. S. Morrison)I beg to move, "That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said Amendment."
2665 This Amendment is moved in order to meet a wish which was generally expressed, to include among the representatives of a person appearing both before the tribunal a relative or personal friend. The Clause as it stands does not make that provision and the Amendment makes it possible.
§ Mr. Edmund HarveyI should like to express the thanks of those hon. Members who pressed for this Amendment. It is very satisfactory to have this provision in the wording of the Bill.
