§ 64. Mr. Ammonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what arrangements have been made for an officer of the Nigerian Government to visit the island of Fernando Po in order to ascertain the conditions of British subjects from Nigeria who are at work in the island; and whether any report has yet been received?
Mr. M. MacDonaldThe Spanish Government have been approached with a view to making arrangements for the visit; their concurrence has just been received. The second part of the question does not, therefore, at present arise. A report has, however, meanwhile been furnished by His Majesty's Vice-Consul at Fernando Po stating that labour conditions have improved.
