§ 66. Mr. J. Morganasked the Minister of Agriculture what was the Liverpool price of Manitoba No. 1 wheat on or about 14th January, 1:932, and 1938, and the Mark Lane price of English Yeoman wheat on or about the same dates, respectively?
§ Mr. RamsbothamThere were no quotations for Manitoba No. 1 wheat at Liverpool about 14th January, 1932, nor can I give prices relating to English Yeoman wheat. At Mark Lane, No. 1 Manitoba was quoted at 7s. 9d. per cwt. in the week ended 13th January, 1932, and at 14s. 3d. per cwt. in the week ended 12th January, 1938, while English wheat was quoted at 6s. 3d. and 8s. 5d. per cwt. respectively in those weeks.
§ Mr. MorganHas the hon. Gentleman noticed the extreme disparity between the two sets of figures, that Manitoba has risen to 14s. 3d. and English only to 8s. 9d., and does he put that down to the operation of the Wheat Act?
§ Mr. RamsbothamI should like notice of that question.
