asked the Prime Minister whether it is the policy of His Majesty's Government, to foster an increasing contact between the Press attachÉin Paris with editors of Paris and provincial French newspapers?

It is certainly the duty of Press attaches to maintain the closest contact possible with the Press in the countries where they reside.

asked the Prime Minister to how many, and to which embassies and legations, Press attaches have been appointed?

Mr. Butler

Press attaches have been appointed to 17 embassies and legations, of which I am circulating a full list in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Following is the list:

Berlin. Athens.
Brussels. Belgrade with Sofia.
Buenos Aires. Bucharest.
Lisbon. Helsingfors.
Paris. Lima.
Rio de Janeiro. Stockholm with Oslo.
