HC Deb 05 July 1939 vol 349 c1300
58. Mr. Creech Jones

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has considered the memorial of the mayor, aldermen, and citizens of Port of Spain on the subject of the recent ordinance respecting the extension for a further period to a private company of the telephone service; and whether he is making any recommendation with a view to re moving the grievances against which the petitioners have complained?

Mr. M. MacDonald

I have not yet received the memorial to which the hon. Member refers; the second part of the question does not, therefore, at present, arise.
