HC Deb 05 July 1939 vol 349 cc1270-1
21. Mr. Stokes

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether he can now report the conclusion of the revision of the McLintock Agreement and when that revised agreement will be available for the information of Members of this House?

Sir K. Wood

It has been necessary to review this matter in the light of the introduction of the Armaments Profits Duty, but I hope to be able to make an early statement.

Mr. Stokes

Does the right hon. Gentleman recollect that five months have elapsed? Is it not preposterous that no information is yet available to Members of the House?

Sir K. Wood

I do not think so. It is a reasonable thing for the industry as a whole to reconsider the matter in the light of the proposals now before the House.
