61. Mr. Bellenger

asked the Postmaster-General whether any payment was made by the British Broadcasting Corporation for the purchase of any publishing rights in the "Radio Times"; and, if so, what was the sum so paid?

Major Tryon

I am informed by the British Broadcasting Corporation that no such payment has been made.

Mr. Bellenger

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that on the inauguration of the "Radio Times" it was done on a sharing basis with a certain publishing company? Has he any knowledge of that?

Major Tryon

I could not reply to that question without notice. The matter raised by the hon. Member is not for me but for the auditor.
