HC Deb 21 February 1939 vol 344 cc188-9
34 and 35. Mr. Paling

asked the Secretary of State for War (1) how many men have passed through the recruits' physical development depots at Canterbury and Scarborough; how many were accepted for the Army and how many rejected; and what is the number in the depots at the present time;

(2) how many men made application to join the Army in the last 12 months for which figures are available; how many were accepted, and how many rejected on medical grounds; and will he give similar information for the three preceding years?
