Mr. David Adamsasked the Home Secretary whether he is aware of the repeated demands in the Durham coalfield for a new Workmen's Compensation Act, and that the grave defects in existing legislation, to which the Mine Workers' Federation referred in its evidence before the Royal Commission, have been aggravated by conditions which have arisen since the outbreak of war; and whether it is intended to introduce legislation to deal with this question without further delay?
