HC Deb 03 August 1939 vol 350 cc2612-3
50. Mr. Tomlinson

asked the Home-Secretary whether he has considered the communication from the legislative council of the Textile Factory Workers' Association expressing their disappointment at the Government's action in issuing regulations under Section 71 (2) of the Factories Act, 1937; and what answer he proposes to give to the request that the period of the order should be limited to the shortest possible time?

Mr. Peake

My right hon. Friend has received this communication, and will carefully consider the point as to a time limit, but he is not in a position to reach a decision upon it at the present stage.
