HC Deb 03 April 1939 vol 345 c2439
36. Mr. Day

asked the Postmaster-General whether he proposes to make any concessions to telephone users and/or reductions in telephone rentals in the near future?

Major Tryon

No, Sir.

Mr. Day

Does the right hon. and gallant Gentleman agree that if he can see his way to do this it will be of great benefit to the business community, in addition to increasing the business of the Post Office?

Major Tryon

The hon. Member is right. Every concession we have made to the business community has been a great help to the trade of the country.
