HC Deb 17 November 1938 vol 341 cc1032-4
30. Mr. Day

asked the Home Secretary whether he will give particulars of the number of appeals made during the previous two years by members of the Metropolitan, City, county and borough police forces under the Police Appeals Act, 1927, following their dismissal or request to resign; and the number of appeals in which legal aid was provided at the cost of the police fund?

Sir S. Hoare

As the answer is in tabular form, I will, with the hon. Member's permission, circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Mr. Day

Do these persons have to pay all their own costs if they are successful?
