HC Deb 17 November 1938 vol 341 cc1050-1
55. Mr. Frankel

asked the Prime Minister when he will give time to discuss the Motion standing in the Order Book in the name of the hon. Member for Mile End?

[That this House, having considered the report of a case where a Fascist was charged with being found on enclosed premises for an unlawful purpose and in which two witnesses of a different political opinion were called by the police, is of opinion that the observations made by Mr. Claud Mullins, Metropolitan magistrate, in dismissing the charge show conclusively that he is not a fit and proper person to administer justice.]

The Prime Minister

I regret that I cannot hold out any hope of special time being given for the discussion of this Motion. I would remind the hon. Member that under the Standing Orders facilities already exist for discussion of this subject as a Private Member's Motion.

Mr. Frankel

Is the Prime Minister aware of the wide and growing dissatisfaction which is felt at the way in which the business of this court is conducted?
