§ Mr. E. BrownAt 12th September, 1938, the number of insured persons aged 16-64 registered as unemployed in the tin plate industry in Wales (including Monmouthshire) was 9,971. As regards the second part of the question, I would remind the hon. Member that representatives of the local authorities in the areas most affected by the decline in the tin plate industry are meeting my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade and myself on 18th November in order to place before us, for consideration, concrete suggestions for remedying the position.
