asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he can now make a statement with regard to the Gilmour Report?

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to his question on Tuesday, 24th May, on this subject.

Mr. Davidson

Does that reply indicate that the right hon. Gentleman has completed his consideration? That has been the constant reply to every question, and as this report has been submitted for a long time, can he indicate when he will be able to give the House any information with regard to this important matter?

Mr. Colville

I cannot give the hon. Member a date, but I can assure him that this report is under active consideration. It is a matter of importance.
