24. Mr. De la Bèreasked the Minister of Agriculture what further steps the Government intend to take to help small farmers who are pig producers, in view of the fact that the Bacon Bill now before the House will not benefit them to any great extent?
§ Mr. W. S. MorrisonUnder the provisions of the Bacon Industry Bill as it stands at present, small pig producers will be able, either individually or by means of group contracts, to enter into long contracts to supply pigs to registered curers. All pig producers will thus have an equal opportunity of benefiting from the provisions of the Bill.
